QUALITY – NATURAL MATERIALS
TYND LAMAULD is the same quality as LAMAULD. Two strands of TYND LAMAULD can be used as an alternative to and together with LAMAULD.
The fibers of the llama wool are an exclusive natural product, lanolin-free, light, and strong. The hollow construction of the fibers gives an unusual, good insulation capacity. Therefore, the llama wool is significantly warmer than ordinary sheep wool. The yarn's rustic look, high insulation capacity, and strength make TYND LAMAULD particularly suitable for classic Nordic knitwear, shawls, scarves, baby blankets, and other clothing that needs to be light, strong, and warm.
TYND LAMAULD is spun 1-threaded and first unfolds completely, when knitted and washed. A knitted and washed swatch is therefore recommended to get the full impression of the qualities, look, and softness of the yarn. Llama wool has naturally very varied lengths of fibers, which gives surplus fibers in the work process. Most of these fibers are washed out at the first washes, which makes the result even softer. NOTICE, Tynd Lamauld has, because of its thickness and the 1-treaded spinning, a tendency to twist in the knitwork when worked in the round in stockinette stitch with a single strand.
TYND LAMAULD from CaMaRose is produced in Peru with consideration for the environment, animal welfare, local farmers, and workers. High-quality demands, as well as consideration for the environment, animals, and people in the production, have been the foundation for the spinning mill's collaboration with CaMaRose since 2010.
