Superwash Merino Aran has a simple construction of 2/3.5nm giving 175m (191 yds) per 100g skein. Superwash Merino Aran is made with 100% superwashed merino meaning the yarn has been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore will not felt when washed. Therefore it is a great yarn for an easy-care garment. We have used soft 21 micron merino in the yarn which is not itchy or scratchy next to the skin. Merino has a natural elasticity which helps a garment stretch yet return back to its original shape. It also has great insulating properties providing a thermal layer of warmth when needed. The wool is mulesing free and comes from South America.
